The winning names have been chosen for the City of Ottawa snowplow contest, which saw many votes cast over the weeks-long period.
The nation’s capital asked children and teens under the age of 16 to help name the snowplows and also raise awareness on plow safety. The city treats and clears over 13,000 kilometres of roadway including Highway 174 and the Transitway to keep vehicles moving in the winter.
“Clearing that distance of snow is equivalent to driving from Halifax to Vancouver (and back) in a snowstorm,” the city said in a release.
