A school bus driver is charged after the bus he was driving collided with a minivan in Pembroke on Oct. 30.
It happened just before 4:00 p.m. at the intersection of Pembroke Street East and William Street. The bus was northbound on William and crashed into a minivan as it attempted to cross the intersection.
Police said there were 14 elementary school-aged students on the bus. Renfrew County Paramedics attended the scene and cleared all the occupants. Those in the minivan were not injured and the vehicle was towed from the scene.
The 66-year-old school bus driver from Pembroke was charged for failing to yield to traffic on a through highway.
