Lane restrictions on Woodroffe for May. Here’s why

Woodroffe Avenue will experience “periodic” lane restrictions in both directors starting April 29.

From Slack Road and 650 metres north of Grenfell Crescent, lanes will be restricted between 9:00 a.m. and 3:00 p.m. until the end of May, an email from the City of Ottawa reads.

The reduction is part of the final work on the Woodroffe Avenue Watermain Repair Project, which involved the reinstatement of the centre median, streetlighting, final paving and landscaping.

While northbound and southbound lanes are open, the statement says some delays can be expected.

“Residents may wish to consider alternate routes where possible,” a spokesperson from the city said.

The northern left-turn lane on Slack Road will be closed when the Woodroffee southbound lane closures are in place.
