The death of a person whose body was found in an Orléans park Friday is not considered suspicious, Ottawa police say.

The body was found at about 10 a.m. in a small wooded area along the Avalon Trail in Aquaview Park.

The park, which features a series of trails and a large stormwater basin, is near the intersection of Tenth Line and Brian Coburn Boulevard.

The death “is not believed to be suspicious at this time and the investigation will continue,” police said in a Friday afternoon post on the social-media site X.

No other details of the death were released.
