Ottawa firefighters knock down Vanier house fire

Firefighters put out a fire in Vanier early Sunday morning.

Ottawa Fire Service (OFS) says they received a 911 call at 8:57 a.m. about smoke coming out of a second floor window at a home on Park Street between Lalemant Street and Montreal Road.

Firefighters knocked down the fire in the two storey double home and overhaul the area and declared the fire under control at 9:21 a.m.

No injuries were reported.

An Ottawa Fire Investigator has been dispatched to the scene to determine the origin and cause.

OFS says that the Canadian Red Cross and the Salvation Army are assisting everyone affected by this incident.
