A man in his 40s was seriously injured in one of three fires reported in Ottawa overnight Saturday.

Shortly before midnight, several 911 callers reported a fire at a building in the 200 block of Bay Street in Somerset district.
Upon arrival, firefighters confirmed smoke was showing on a side of a two-storey residential building.
Firefighters advanced a hose line inside the structure, while checking for occupants.

Paramedics confirmed a man was transported to hospital in stable condition with serious injuries.
An OC Transpo bus was sent to the scene to she other residents.
The fire was declared under control at 12:44 a.m. Sunday.
The fire was one of three handled by firefighters overnight.
At about 5:20 p.m. Saturday, firefighters were called for reports of a car fire at a commercial lowrise building on Rochester Street in the Somerset district.
Firefighters confirmed the burning vehicle on fire was located behind the building.
Firefighters worked to protect nearby structures that were at risk of catching fire.
The fire was under control at about 5:47 p.m.
A fire service investigator was dispatched to determine the cause and origin of the fire.
At about 6 a.m. Sunday, a caller reported a front deck was on fire at a single-family home on Kenwood Avenue in the Kitchissippi neighbourhood.
Firefighters arriving at the scene reported the fire to be “fully involved,” and said it had spread to the building’s roof.
The fire was declared under control at about 7 a.m.
Crews conducted two searches of the structure and no occupants were found inside.
