Three people are facing charges after Ontario Provincial Police seized a loaded firearm during a RIDE checkpoint in eastern Ontario.
The OPP says officers were conducting a RIDE Program on County Road 2 in South Dundas Township just before 1:30 a.m. last Thursday when a vehicle stopped.
“Further investigation led to the driver and passengers being arrested,” police said.
A 26-year-old from Cornwall and two people from the Akwesasne Mohawk Territory are facing charges for possession of an unauthorized firearm.
