One adult, two children rescued from Overbrook highrise fire

Three people have been rescued from a highrise fire in Overbrook the neighbourhood.

Ottawa Fire Services (OFS) responded to an apartment building at 1244 Donald St. in the early morning hours of May 2.

Firefighters rescued one adult and two children from a third-floor apartment.

The three rescued occupants were taken into the care of the Ottawa Paramedic Service, though details on possible injuries have not been released.

The fire was declared under control shortly before 7 a.m.

Motorists are advised to expect delays in the area of St. Laurent Boulevard and Donald Street.
