Small town resident facing ‘lengthy’ list of charges like assault, harassment

One person is facing a laundry list of charges from Ontario Provincial Police (OPP).

Officers from the Leeds and Frontenac detachment responded to reports of a stolen vehicle at an address on Main Street in Seeley’s Bay, just off Highway 15 east of Kingston. Once at the address, the suspect was not found.

At a later time on Dec. 19, police returned and took one person into custody.

Hunter Tye, 30, was charged with:

  • Assault
  • Assault with a weapon
  • Break-enter dwelling house
  • Criminal harassment – beset and watch
  • Criminal harassment – repeatedly communicate
  • Dangerous operation
  • Fail to comply with probation order – two counts
  • Failure to comply with release order – six counts
  • Mischief under $5,000
  • Theft under $5,000
  • Unlawfully in dwelling house

He went to a bail hearing in Brockville on Dec. 19 and remains in custody until the next bail hearing on Dec. 23.
