OPP worried about condition of driver who left Highway 417 crash scene

Provincial police are looking for the driver of a black 2021 GMC Sierra pickup truck involved in a two-vehicle collision shortly before 2:30 a.m. Sunday.

The crash occurred on Highway 417 near Innes Road.

The driver of the truck left the scene.

OPP spokesperson Michael Fathi said police are concerned the driver sustained a serious injury, based on the level of damage to the vehicle.

The OPP, with assistance from Ottawa Police Service members and K9 units, unsuccessfully searched the area for the driver.

Attempts to locate the registered owner of the vehicle at their residence were also unsuccessful.

Anyone with information on the crash or who has dashcam video was asked to call 1-888-310-1122, referencing case number E241678021.
