A lone person in a Orleans home called 911 for a fire coming from their garage.
Firefighters were called last night at 8:50 p.m. to a single-family home in the 800 block of Tewin Circle. The caller said they were alone in the home and they escaped safely. Crews arrived and found smoke and flames coming from the garage.
A hose was brought towards the home where the flames were “quickly” extinguished, a post on X from officials reads.
It was declared under control by 9:17 p.m.
Firefighters needed to remove drywall in the garage and use a thermal imaging camera to ensure the fire did not spread.
Fans were used to ventilate the smoke out of the home. Due to the quick action, the resident will not be displaced due to the incident.
