Provincial police have charged a 46-year-old Ingleside, Ont., woman in connection with a collision last summer which resulted in the death of a 14-year-old cyclist.
The crash occurred in the afternoon of Aug. 30 when the girl was riding eastbound on the paved, westbound shoulder of County Road 2, in South Stormont Township, west of Long Sault, when she was struck by a westbound car.
Bystanders attempted life-saving measures but the victim was pronounced deceased at the scene.
Provincial police announced early Wednesday that Karen Brennan, 46, of Ingleside has been charged with careless driving causing death.
She is scheduled to appear before the Ontario Court of Justice in Cornwall on Mar. 18, 2025.
