8 hospitalized after boat collision in Frontenac County

Ontario Provincial Police are investigating after a serious collision involving two boats on Buck Bay, at the south end of Bobs Lake.

Multiple emergency crews from surrounding regions, along with the 424 Transport and Rescue Squadron out of CFB Trenton, responded to the call around 9:45 p.m. Saturday.

Frontenac Paramedics transported eight people to Kingston General Hospital, according to Matt Mills, the communications officer for the County of Frontenac.

Two of the patients were men aged 24 and 26, Mills told CBC.

Police are asking people to avoid the area.

Buck Bay is approximately 60 kilometres north of downtown Kingston, Ont.
