Mayor Mark Sutcliffe says he has decided to run the Tamarack Ottawa Race Weekend marathon to help support Dhanushka Wickramasinghe.
“I want to support the fundraising organized by @Ottawa Victim Services for Dhanushka Wickramasinghe, who is coping with unimaginable pain and loss,” Sutcliffe said in a post on X Tuesday.

Wickramasinghe is the lone survivor of a brutal attack in a Barrhaven home in March in which his wife, four children and a family friend were killed.
