Two sent to hospital following collision at Bank Street and Lester Road

Two people were sent to hospital following the collision of a car and an SUV at the intersection of Bank Street and Lester Road.

The crash occurred at about 1:30 p.m. resulting in road closures in in the area just sound of Hunt Club, said Ottawa police.

At first, the injuries were considered serious.

However, as of about 4 p.m. the injuries were considered not life-threatening, said police.

Northbound lanes of Bank Street were reopen by 4 p.m., while southbound lanes are expected to reopen “shortly.”
