Ontario Provincial Police (OPP) say three people are facing drug trafficking charges in Quinte West.

Police say that on Wednesday, officers executed a search warrant on Sidney Street and found a quantity of suspected cocaine and psilocybin, along with items typically associated with drug trafficking.

OPP officers arrested two adults and one teen at the scene.

Police have charged Courtney Gilroy, 20, Shannon Brooks, 35 of Quinte West and a 17-year-old whose name cannot be released under the Youth Criminal Justice Act with possession of a schedule I and schedule III substance for the purpose of trafficking.

Gilroy was further charged with failure to comply with a release order and Brooks also faces a charge of fail to comply with probation order.

The teen was further charged with two counts of fail to comply with a sentence.
