The Ottawa police are asking the public to help identify a motorcyclist who was seen by officers disobeying road rules and did not stop for officials.
On March 15, near the intersection of Greenbank Road and West Hunt Club Road at approximately 1:25 p.m., police saw a motorcycle being driven at “very” high rates of speed.
Police caught the person driving at 160 km/h down Greenbank Road toward the highway.
The driver was performing stunt driving maneuvers, the press release reads.
Police attempted to do a traffic stop but the motorcycle fled and ran a red light and entered the highway going eastbound.
Officers said the suspect was seen wearing a “uniquely brightly” coloured jacket, blue pants with red white and black, motorcycle boots and a multi-coloured helmet. The vehicle is described as a black sport bike.
Anyone with information as to the identity of this suspect or this incident is asked to contact the Ottawa Police Service at 613-236-1222, ext. 7300.
