Ottawa Fire Services lifted a burn ban for the City of Ottawa on Friday.
The ban on open-air fires had been announced on Tuesday in the midst of a heat wave for the national capital region.
The fire service reminded Ottawa residents that they must obtain permits in order to have open-air fires.
Before setting an open-air fire, you must first contact the Ottawa Fire Services Communications Centre at 613-580-2880. Public enquiries can be called or emailed to the city’s 3-1-1 service (TTY: 613-580-2401).

The open-air fire ban announced Tuesday was the second of the year in the Ottawa region. Another was announced by Ottawa Fire Services on March 24, though it was lifted about 10 days later.
