Two seriously injured in shooting on Clarence Street

Two people were seriously injured in a shooting on Clarence Street early Tuesday.

At about 12:50 a.m., Ottawa Police Service officers responded to the sound of gunshots in the 100 block of Clarence, and at the scene found two individuals suffering from gunshot wounds.

One victim was taken to hospital in life-threatening condition while the other was transported in serious but stable condition. Both remain in hospital, police said in a news release Tuesday.

The investigation continues, and anyone with information, cellphone footage or any other images relating to this incident was asked to contact the guns and gangs unit at 613-236-1222, extension 5050.
