Tornado warnings were issued and shortly thereafter lifted for several eastern Ontario communities on Wednesday evening.
The advisories for Smiths Falls, Perth, eastern Lanark County, Westport, Charleston Lake, Merrickville-Wolford and Kemptville by Environment Canada were issued just before 8 p.m., but then morphed into severe thunderstorm watches less than an hour later.
