Man, 20, charged with aggravated assault after woman wounded by pellet gun

A 20-year-old Ottawa man has been charged with aggravated assault and other charges after a young woman was wounded late Thursday afternoon by shots from a pellet or BB gun on an OC Transpo bus.

Police said they were called at about 5:50 p.m. to Queen Street near the Parliament O-Train station downtown on a report of a disturbance.

Police said the victim suffered non-life-threatening injuries to her knee. She was transported to a local hospital for treatment.
