An Ottawa man is facing child pornography charges following an investigation into alleged child luring, police say.
A 33-year-old was charged Thursday with luring a person under the age of 18 through telecommunication, making child pornography, possessing child pornography and sending sexually explicit material to a person under the age of 18.
The investigation was initiated by the Waterloo Regional Police Service in December 2023, said the Ottawa Police Service in a Friday morning news release.
The man was arrested Thursday at a residence in Ottawa’s east end, according to police, and is scheduled to appear in court Friday.
Police say he used the following screen names: alexdagodd, alexfitness223, localtrapp3rr.
Investigators are warning the public there may be other victims and are asking people to contact the force’s internet child exploitation unit should they have information.
