The hot weather didn’t deter athletes from competing on the first full day of the 10th Canadian Transplant Games on Sunday in Ottawa.
The event, symbolizing life’s second chances, highlights the success of transplant procedures and underscores the crucial need for organ and tissue donation.
Featuring a wide range of sports, including swimming, lawn bowling, cycling, track and field and tennis, the Games welcome participants who have received life-supporting stem cell, tissue or organ transplants, as well as living donors, donor family members and supporters.
