Police say a teen was sent to hospital after a collision involving a vehicle and a cyclist on Wednesday in a township west of Ottawa.
OPP says just after 6:30 p.m., officers responded to the collision at the intersection of Bonnechere Street and Bruce Street in the Township of Bonnechere Valley.
Police say the 61-year-old driver was travelling westbound on Bonnechere Street and collided with the rider that was travelling on Bruce Street at the intersection.
Paramedics transported the 14-year-old cyclist to hospital with non-life threatening injuries.
Police have not laid any charges.
The OPP wants to remind the public that a bicycle rider under the age of 18 must wear an approved bicycle helmet. For children aged 16 and under a parent or guardian must make sure they wear a helmet.
