Police seize over $575K worth of cocaine and methamphetamine in Brockville

A two-month long investigation had led to drug trafficking charges against two Brockville residents.

In July 2024, the Ontario Provincial Police (OPP)-led Provincial Guns and Gangs Enforcement Team (PGNG) and Brockville Police Service began an investigation which culminated in the execution of a search warrant in Brockville on September 5.

As a result of the search warrant, the following items were seized:

  • Approximately two kilograms of suspected cocaine
  • Approximately two kilograms of suspected methamphetamine
  • Approximately 900g of suspected psilocybin
  • Approximately 160g of suspected fentanyl 
  • Approximately $19,000 cash
  • A prohibited weapon (spring loaded knife)

Police say the drugs have a an estimated street value of more than $570,000.

Michael Dibble, 42, of Brockville, faces the following charges:

  • Possess Schedule I Substance (Cocaine) for the Purposes of Trafficking, 5(2) CDSA
  • Possess Schedule I Substance (MDMA) for the Purpose of Trafficking, 5(2) CDSA
  • Possess Schedule I Substance (Fentanyl) for the Purpose of Trafficking, 5(2) CDSA
  • Possess Schedule I Substance (Crystal Methamphetamine) for the Purpose of Trafficking, 5(2) CDSA
  • Possess Schedule III Substance (Psilocybin) for the Purpose of Trafficking, 5(2) CDSA
  • Possession of Property Obtained by Crime over $5000, 355 (a) CC
  • Possession of a Weapon Contrary to a Prohibition order, 117.01(1) CC, four counts
  • Possession of a Prohibited Weapon, contrary to s. 92(2) CC
  • Trafficking Contraband Tobacco, contrary to s. 121.1 CC

The accused was remanded into custody and is due in court in Brockville on September 19.

George Papageorgiou, 45, of Brockville, faces one charge:

  • Possess Schedule I Substance (MDMA) for the Purpose of Trafficking, 5(2)

The accused was released from custody and is due in court in Brockville on October 18.
