Ottawa police have charged a man with sexually assaulting a girl under the age of 16.
Investigators say the suspect worked as a student transport driver for a Centretown area high school.
It’s alleged on March 1, the suspect dropped off other students and began to drive the victim to her residence.
Police say the accused then stopped the van and forced the student to perform a sexual act.
Jean-Pierre Mutabazi, 56, of Ottawa is charged with sexual assault, sexual interference and invitation to sexual touching.
He is slated to appear in court Thursday.
Anyone with information on the case is asked to contact the Ottawa Police Service Sexual Assault and Child Abuse Unit, or submit a tip anonymously through Crime Stoppers.
This is the second student transport driver charged with sexual assault by Ottawa police this month.
On April 5, investigators said they had charged a Vanier-area student transport driver in connection to the sexual assault of someone under the age of 16.
