Gatineau man dies 1 day after Highway 50 crash

Quebec provincial police say a 33-year-old man from Gatineau has died of his injuries from a crash on Highway 50 in his hometown Monday morning.

Quebec provincial police say a 33-year-old man from Gatineau has died of his injuries from a crash on Highway 50 in his hometown Monday morning.

The Sûreté du Québec (SQ) first said Monday the pickup truck driver had been critically injured when they crashed into the transport truck in front of them.

It happened while both vehicles were going westbound on the highway around 7:40 a.m. after the Montée Paiement interchange.

The SQ said in a news release Wednesday morning the man died Tuesday afternoon in a hospital. They said their investigation continues.
