The Ottawa Senators and National Capital Commission (NCC) are holding a joint press conference at 1 p.m. this afternoon to provide an update on the Memorandum of Understanding between Capital Sports Development Inc (CSDI).
NCC CEO Tobi Nussbaum will join Senators’ president and CEO Cyril Leeder Tobi Nussbaum for the announcement.
Sportsnet’s Wayne Scanlan reports in a post on X that “the Senators have reached an agreement with the NCC to build an arena and other amenities on LeBreton Flats.”
In June 2022, the NCC announced it had reached a memorandum of understanding with CSDI to build a new arena at LeBreton Flats.
The 2022 proposal was for an arena and events venue along with a mixed-use development on Albert Street between Preston Street and City Centre Avenue.
