Gatineau Police are investigating the death of a 35-year-old man Thursday morning as a homicide.
Emergency crews were called to boulevard des Allumettières near rue Saint-Rédempteur around 6:15 a.m. where they found the man with injuries “suggesting he had been the victim of an assault,” police said in a news release.
The man was transported to hospital where he was pronounced dead.
He has been identified as Maxim Bourgon-Frigon. Gatineau police said he was known to police.
Roads in the area were temporarily closed to traffic while police investigated, but have since reopened.
