OPP catch suspect in Ottawa who was on the run for 3 months

The Repeat Offender Parole Enforcement (R.O.P.E.) Squad has apprehended a federal offender in Ottawa who has been at large since June.

Police said Matthew Mutter was located and arrested on Sept. 27. He was serving a three-year, six month sentence for:

  • Robbery
  • Assault cause bodily harm
  • Break enter & commit
  • Forcible Confinement
  • Fail to comply with probation order
  • Possess weapon for dangerous purpose
  • Fail to attend court at large
  • Public mischief – make false statement

Officials are thanking the public’s help with tracking him down.
