Ottawa LRT back in service Sunday after testing work Saturday

OC Transpo said Sunday that O-Train service has resumed after a one-day shutdown for work to integrate the Stage 2 East extension with the existing LRT line.

The agency had planned to shut down all day on Saturday to allow officials to work on integrating the LRT line with the Stage 2 extension between Blair Station and Trim Road.

OC Transpo general manager Renée Amilcar said later that more work was required and the shutdown would continue until 10 a.m. on Sunday.

But OC Transpo announced on social media that the extra time was not required.
