Ottawa police said a report of a possible weapon at Bell High School on Tuesday was “unfounded.”

“The incident reported at Bell High School yesterday was thoroughly investigated and determined to be unfounded,” the Ottawa Police Service stated in a Wednesday post on the social media site X.

The previous day, police said they “responded to Bell High School this afternoon after reports from students about a possible weapon and being chased while they were on a break outside of the school.”

The school was quickly secured and deemed safe, police added.

No one was injured, the police service said, and no other information was released.
