O-Train riders should prepare for new shutdowns as planned maintenance will mean a section of O-Train Line 1 service will shut down on Saturday for the day.
There will be rotating shutdowns starting this weekend and continuing on weekends and late at night on some weekdays as Rideau Transit Maintenance performs the required work, the city says.
Regular service is expected to resume Monday, Nov. 4.

Here’s the plan:
Saturday, Oct. 19 and Sunday, Oct. 20
As an update to this memo, Line 1 will now operate between Tunney’s Pasture and Tremblay stations on October 19 and 20, which is an improvement in rail service this weekend.
Transpo originally stated Line 1 would be closed between Blair and Tremblay stations in the east end all day.
However, in an update, Transpo said Friday that Line 1 will operate between Tunney’s Pasture and Tremblay stations on Oct. 19 and Oct. 20, “which is an improvement in rail service this weekend.”
R1 bus service will operate between Blair and Hurdman stations.
Tuesday, Oct. 22 and Wednesday, Oct. 23
Line 1 will close between Blair and uOttawa stations from 11 p.m. until the end of the service day.
R1 bus service will run between Blair and Rideau stations.
Saturday, Oct. 26 and Sunday, Oct. 27
Line 1 closed between Blair and Tunney’s Pasture stations all day.
R1 bus service will run between Blair and Tunney’s Pasture stations.
Tuesday, Oct. 29 and Wednesday, Oct. 30
Line 1 will close between Blair and uOttawa stations from 11 p.m. until the end of the service day.
R1 bus service will run between Blair and Rideau stations.
Saturday, Nov. 2 and Sunday, Nov. 3
Line 1 will be closed between Blair and Tunney’s Pasture stations all day.
R1 bus service will run between Blair and Tunney’s Pasture stations.
Line 1 service is expected to operate as usual, on all other days.
