1 dead, 3 injured in 2-vehicle collision in Russell Township

One person is dead and three others were seriously injured in a two-vehicle collision in Russell Township on Friday, Ontario Provincial Police (OPP) said in a news release Monday.

One person is dead and three others were seriously injured in a two-vehicle collision in Russell Township on Friday, Ontario Provincial Police (OPP) said in a news release Monday.

The crash between a black SUV and a white car happened around 6:35 p.m. Friday at the intersection of Route 200 and St-Pierre Road in Russell Township, about 45 kilometres southeast of downtown Ottawa. 

OPP, paramedics and firefighters responded to the collision.

One driver was pronounced dead at the scene. The second driver and one passenger from each vehicle were transported to hospital with serious injuries, according to OPP.

Police were unable to provide an update on their condition Monday.

Russell County OPP are asking anyone who witnessed the collision or has dashcam video to come forward.
