One man is dead following a serious three-vehicle collision south of Winchester, Ont., on Thursday, Ontario Provincial Police said.
50-year-old man from Morrisburg pronounced dead at the scene
One man is dead following a serious three-vehicle collision south of Winchester, Ont., on Thursday, Ontario Provincial Police (OPP) said.
The crash occurred just after 3:30 p.m. on Bank Street between Winchester and Williamsburg, Ont., involving two SUVs and a transport truck.
According to the OPP’s initial investigation, the transport truck was travelling south when a northbound SUV veered, causing a head-on collision. The second SUV then collided with the wreckage.
The driver of the first SUV, a 50-year-old man from Morrisburg, Ont., was pronounced dead at the scene.
The driver of the transport truck sustained minor injuries and was taken to hospital, while the driver of the second SUV did not suffer serious injuries.
Police continue to investigate the cause of the collision.
