Two adults were taken to hospital in stable condition but with serious injuries after a fire at a Centretown highrise Saturday morning, Ottawa paramedics say.
Ottawa Fire Services (OFS) said they were alerted to reports of the fire on the 300 block of Maclaren Street at 4:58 a.m.
It took about 20 minutes to bring the fire under control, OFS said.
An OC Transpo bus was dispatched to the scene to provide temporary shelter for affected residents, OFS said. No one has been displaced by the fire, they said.
The cause and origin of the fire has yet to be determined.
