Man dies in east Ottawa shooting

Ottawa police are investigating a fatal Friday night shooting on Russell Road.

No suspects in custody at this time

A man is dead after a shooting in east Ottawa late Friday night.

It happened at around 10 p.m. Friday on the 1700 block of Russell Road, according to a police news release issued Saturday morning.

Police have identified the victim as 19-year-old Ottawa resident Yousef Salaman.

No suspects are currently in custody.

Police ask anyone with information to contact the police service’s homicide unit.
