Man in life-threatening condition after stabbing on Baseline Road

A man has been taken to hospital in life-threatening condition following a stabbing on Baseline Road early Friday morning, according to the Ottawa Paramedic Service.

No further threat to public safety, police say

UPDATE: Police confirmed Sunday one man has been charged with aggravated assault and assault with a weapon.


A man has been taken to hospital in life-threatening condition following a stabbing on Baseline Road early Friday morning, according to the Ottawa Paramedic Service.

Paramedics said they were called around 5:54 a.m. to Baseline Road between Navaho Drive and Woodroffe Avenue.

The Ottawa Police Service (OPS) said on X there is an active police operation at the scene.

Police said they have located all the parties involved in the incident and there is no threat to public safety.
