The Ottawa Police Service says one its own members has been charged in relation to an off-duty two-vehicle collision that happened on March 17.
Const. Cory Chuchryk placed on administrative duties
An Ottawa police officer has been charged with impaired and dangerous driving after getting into a crash while off-duty on St. Patrick’s Day.
In a release sent Saturday morning, the Ottawa Police Service (OPS) said Const. Cory Chuchryk was facing charges of impaired operations, failure to stop after an accident and dangerous driving.
There were no injuries in the two-vehicle collision, the OPS said.
Chuchryk has been placed on administrative duties, according to the release.
His first court appearance is scheduled for May 7.
