Striking LCBO workers reach tentative deal: union

Striking LCBO workers have reached a tentative deal with their employer, the union said on Friday.

About 9,000 workers walked off the job on July 5, shuttering retail outlets across the province.

On Tuesday, the Ontario Public Service Employees Union said in a statement it was returning to the bargaining table.

Workers had said that Premier Doug Ford’s plans to make pre-mixed cocktails readily available across other stores were at the heart of the negotiations.

More to come.
