Ontario Provincial Police (OPP) say they found a missing swimmer’s body after several hours of searching Bonnechere Valley’s Lake Clear on Sunday.
In a news release Monday, OPP said they were called to the lake about 10 kilometres southwest from Eganville around 9:30 a.m.
They were told a 27-year-old man had been jumping off rocks into the water when he failed to resurface.
Emergency crews searched the lake using boats, including one belonging to a citizen, police said. Firefighters also used a drone in the search.
An OPP underwater search team located the unnamed man’s body before 7 p.m., OPP said.
