A teenage boy was rushed to hospital after a stabbing in Nepean on Thursday, Ottawa paramedics say.
Shortly after noon, Ottawa police wrote on social media that officers were conducting a police operation in the 100 block of Constellation Drive.
The teenager was in critical condition at the time, Ottawa paramedics told CBC.
At 1:30 p.m., police and paramedic vehicles remained parked near the entrance of the Mary Pitt Centre, a municipal administration building that contains the offices of Ottawa Public Health and the provincial offences court.
The Ottawa-Carleton District School Board said a nearby high school did not go into lockdown following the stabbing.
