Woman’s death in Nepean deemed a homicide

The Ottawa police homicide unit is investigating the death of a woman whose body was found in her Woodroffe Avenue home earlier this week.

The Ottawa police homicide unit is investigating the discovery of a woman’s body in her home earlier this week.

Officers went to the home on Woodroffe Avenue in Nepean between Baseline Road and Iris Street shortly after 11 a.m. on Wednesday and found her body. 

On Thursday, police announced her death is considered a homicide. 

Police sources have told CBC News that the woman who was killed was related to the suspect.

No arrest has been announced.

Police said the next of kin notification process was still underway Thursday afternoon.
