Beautiful weather for Ottawa’s Asian night markets

Beautiful weather brought out plenty of hungry visitors to the Ottawa Asian Festival Night Market Saturday afternoon.

The scene was at the parking lot of Tanger Outlets on Campeau Drive.

Street food chefs did big business as visitors checked out busy street food stands, K-pop dancers and performers and other attractions.

The event runs until midnight Saturday and from noon to 8 p.m. on Sunday.

Organizers are promising two more night market events at different sites this summer.

Meanwhile, the Ottawa Chinatown Night Market was kicking off on Somerset Street West.

In addition to tasty culinary offerings, the festival features traditional lion dances, martial arts demonstrations and musical performances, as well as items from local artisans and craftsmen.

The Chinatown Night Market runs until 11 p.m. Saturday and from 11 a.m. to 8 p.m. on Sunday.
