Better late than never: Perfect weekend weather in the Capital in photos

Better late than never.

It’s a pity that Ottawa had to struggle through meteorological ups and downs in summer 2024. Ranging from the regular stifling humidity to the frightening “remnants of Tropical Storm Debby,” summer was one constant endurance event.

But all is forgiven after Saturday’s brilliant conditions.

The capital had ideal weather conditions Saturday, with bright blue skies and warmer than normal seasonal temperatures, prompting residents to take advantage of outdoor activities.

Parks and other public spaces across the city were bustling with people enjoying everything from bike rides, a swim in the Ottawa River, or just relaxing in the sunshine.

And more good news: The forecast is for four (and maybe more) days of this.
