Canada Day in Ottawa: Metric, Maestro Fresh Wes, Chromeo and more to play the evening show

Some of Canada’s top musical acts are headed to Ottawa on July 1 to perform for the country’s official birthday party, to be televised live from LeBreton Flats Park on the grounds of the Canadian War Museum. 

Anchoring the celebrations are hip hop pioneer Maestro Fresh Wes, synth rockers Metric, alt-pop duo Neon Dreams and electro funksters Chromeo, along with Rwandan-Canadian R ‘n B singer Corneille, Montreal rapper FouKi, Innu singer Kanen, Inuk throat singer Qattuu, dance-floor diva Kiesza, Quebec country dynamo Sara Dufour and bilingual chanteuse Willows, also known as Franco-Metis singer-songwriter, Geneviève Toupin.
