A man was taken to hospital with life-threatening injuries after being hit by a vehicle on Thursday night, according to first responders.
A spokesperson for the Ottawa paramedics said the cyclist was hit by a vehicle at about 8 p.m. on Hunt Club Road. The man sustained critical injuries and was taken to hospital in life-threatening condition, he said.
Ottawa police said the cyclist was in his 40s.
Police are appealing for witnesses to the collision, which happened on West Hunt Club, just west of Merivale Road.
“Investigators would like to speak with anyone who witnessed the collision or may have dashcam footage of this incident and has not yet spoken to police,” the force said in a media release.
