On Friday, another unidentified adult was transported to a hospital trauma centre following a collision that led to the shutdown of an eastbound section of Highway 417 at Terry Fox Drive in Kanata.

Further details on the condition of that individual were not immediately available.

The Ottawa detachment of the Ontario Provincial Police posted online later that traffic in that area was moving slowly as the investigation continued. The advisory, posted at about 7 p.m., specified that vehicles would be able to exit the highway at Terry Fox and then to get back on at Terry Fox to continue heading eastbound.
