Officers from the Ottawa OPP detachment pulled this driver over Friday night after was caught travelling on Hwy 417 near Moodie Drive at 175km, 75 kilometres an hour over the limit in the area.
In a social media message, officers noted the driver was stopped shortly after 9 p.m., and it was raining at the time.
“Speeds like this are never safe, but are even more dangerous in poor weather,” OPP said.
The driver received an immediate 30-day driving suspension and a 14-day vehicle impound.
They also face a minimum $2,000 fine, six demerit points, and a one-year driving suspension upon conviction in court.
