A driver charged with stunt driving for the second time in a few months “was lucky enough” to have his mother come and pick him up at the scene after he was pulled over Sunday night, the OPP said.
It was one of four stunt driving charges laid that night, with all of the vehicles stopped on Highway 417 in the west end of Ottawa, police said.
The driver facing a second stunt driving charge had been clocked at 156 km/h in May, and that charge is still before the courts, the OPP said on social media.

“At least he didn’t flee police this time,” the post said.
Images on the post showed the four drivers charged Sunday had been clocked at 160, 175, 173 and 156 km/h.
All four received a roadside 30-day driver’s licence suspension and had their vehicles impounded for 14 days.
Three of the drivers are facing a minimum $2,000 fine, six demerit points and a one-year driving prohibition if convicted, the OPP said, while the driver charged for the second time, if convicted on both charges, could face a minimum driving suspension of three years, fines up to $10,000, 12 demerit points and driver training.
